Obituary of Howard Rosenast

ANDES Howard Rosenast, 87, of Andes, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at home in Andes due to a heart condition. He was born on May 24, 1926 in Jersey City, NJ, the son of Oscar and Elsie Rosenast. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Rosenast was a practicing Tax Accountant. He moved to the area in 1986. He was a long time member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Delhi. An enrolled IRS Agent, he was an AARP Tax Coordinator for Delaware County for over 25 years. He is survived by his daughters, Roberta Rosenast of Brooklyn, and Cheryl Judkins, husband Barry and grandson Nolan of Newport News, VA; and a son, Keith Rosenast of Andes. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Delhi, with Rev. John E. Priest officiating. There will be no calling hours. Contributions in his memory are asked to be made to the American Heart Association, St. Joseph Indian School, Lutheran Association of Missionary and Pilots, and the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Delhi.
