Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of cousin Denise. Although we always kept in touch at Christmas time, we were very fortunate to be able to visit last year. Dennis and Alice prepared a lovely luncheon for Marisa, George, Julio, and myself. We got to reminisce about old times. Dennis had so much family memorabilia that he shared with us and it was fun to hear old family stories. Although, it had been decades, since we saw each other in person, we connected so well, it seems like yesterday.
After lunch, he gave us a lovely tour of his home. We were amazed at the trains and chain collection he had. It reminded me of my dad and his obsession with chains. We laughed about how it was probably in their genes. Dennis was truly a man of many talents which could be seen walking around his home and property. It reminded me of Thoreau’s book Walden. Truly a self reliance man.
Marisa and I had talked about visiting again this year, but it wasn’t meant to be. My sincerest condolences to Alice, Daniel, Donald, and all the family. May he now rest in peace.
Love,
Antoinette
