Obituary of Gertrude T. Mostert
Gertrude T. Mostert passed away at the Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
Gert was born on July 27, 1934 in Windham, N.Y. to James and Beatrice Tweedie. She graduated from Delaware Academy High School and the Agricultural and Technical College at Delhi. She married Richard Mostert on March 11, 1954 in Delhi and they moved to California while Dick was in the Air Force. Returning to Delhi, she was employed for more than 20 years by O’Connor Hospital, working in medical records and as a medical secretary.
Gert was a member of the First Presbyterian Church Delhi for 70 years.
Gert is survived by her children Terry (Deb) Mostert and Cindy Mostert. Also surviving are grandchildren Nick (Lisa) Mostert, Becky (Kyle) Hull, Shannon (Brent) Caron, Jeremiah (Sara) Anderson and Katie (Miguel Duran) Anderson. She is also survived by great-grandchildren Brookley, Wyatt, Madison, Alexis, Makayla, Lucas and Chloe. She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Shepard and Marge Tweedie, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins Gert was predeceased by her husband, Dick, and her son, Gordon.
Gert will be remembered as someone who loved to give handmade gifts to others. She especially loved sending greeting cards. Most of all, she loved large family gatherings.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to Nancy and Darlene for their very helpful caregiving they gave to our mother, grandmother and great grandmother for many years.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 10-11AM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main Street, Delhi, where a celebration of Gertudes's life will follow at 11AM. Following the service all are invited to join with the family for a reception at the Delhi Fire Department.
