Obituary of Paul Vogel

SOUTH KORTRIGHT — Paul Vogel Sr., 81, of South Kortright, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at home with his family. He was born July 31, 1931, in Brooklyn, the son of Joseph A. and Adelaide (Cline) Vogel. He married Margaret Swaine Vogel on July 25, 1953, in Central Islip. A veteran of the United States Army, Paul was a Journeyman, Lineman, Local IBEW 1049, Long Island, a 57-year member. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, at home; his children, Paul Vogel, Ken and Cheryl Vogel, Howard Vogel, Greg Vogel, Donna and Jim Messinger and Cheryl McCarthy; his grandchildren, Christopher, Paul, Tori, Amanda, Tierney, Lindsey, Shea, Spencer, Jamie, Michael; and many great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, with Father Michael Cambi officiating.
