Obituary of Molley Temple
HOBART — Molley Irene Hulse Temple, 82, of Hobart, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 26, 2013. She passed away at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital, Oneonta.
Molley was born Jan. 18, 1931, on Second Street, in Deposit, the daughter of Arthur and Irene (Schrader) Hulse. Molley resided in Hobart for 65 years.
She married Leslie W. Temple Sr. on May 31, 1947, in Hobart. They were married for 50 years before Leslie's passing on June 21, 1997.
Before retirement Molley worked at Rich's Poultry Farm, VanBuren's Hardware Store, Audiosears Corp., Wickham's Cauliflower Farm and Provimi Packing Plant.
She was a member of the Hobart Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Hobart United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school at the church for many years.
Along with her husband, Leslie, she ran the concession stand for the Catskill Mountain Little League in Stamford.
Molley loved being with her family and telling stories of the past and making up stories for her grand and great-grandchildren. She especially loved going to Virginia to spend winters with her granddaughter and family Michelle, Dom, Ally, and Dominick Pucci.
Traveling, crocheting, playing cards, word puzzles, ceramics and camping were a few of her enjoyments.
She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley (Tom) Gebhard of Grand Gorge, and Donna (Jim) Hitt of Stamford; a daughter-in-law, Jeannine Temple Luquer of Davenport; grandchildren, Michelle and Dom Pucci, Cindy and John Condliffe, Ann and David Clark, Kevin and Suzy Hitt, Jennifer and Robert Mueller, Scarlet and Lloyd Henderson, Debby Loft and Amanda and Chad Mace; and 13 great-grandchildren; David and Christopher Clark, Ally and Dominick Pucci, Lila and Lauren Mueller, Brooke Hitt, Dakota and Alexa-Rae Seeley, Rhianna and Cash Mace, Tori and Jeremiah Henderson, and Abby and Hunter Smigiel; a sister, Dorothy Hawk of Masonville; sisters-in-law, Jane Decarr of Oneonta, Louise Kosier and Bea Palmer of Hobart; and many nieces and nephews.
Molley was predeceased by her husband, Leslie; son, Leslie Jr. (Bunky); sister, Margaret Mallory; and brothers, Lewis and Harley Hulse.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Pine Street, Hobart, with Father Darius Mojallali officiating. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart. The family will be in attendance.
