Obituary of Albert Morales

DeLANCEY Albert Morales, 63, of DeLancey, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Albany VA Hospital in Albany. He was born on August 7, 1949 in Santurce, Puerto Rico, the son of Benito and Maria (Padilla) Morales. He married Maria G. Pacheco on June 24, 1989 in Walton. A veteran of the Vietnam War, decorated with 3 bronze stars, Albert was employed by the ARC of Delaware County as a Respite Coordinator for 13 years. He was a member of the American Legion, Donald W. Gleason Post #190 in Delhi. His numerous friends and family describe him as the most compassionate and unselfish human being you'll ever want to meet. Albert is survived by his wife, Maria G. Morales; a son, Albert Jr.; a daughter Adelina; grandchildren, Cinthia, Jenele, Jessica, and Justin; his mother, Maria Morales; sisters, Gloria and Rosa; brothers, Milton, Victor, and Benny; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to greet the family on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Delhi. A brief prayer service will occur at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial and graveside military honors will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 12 p.m. at the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
