Obituary of Nancy Savage Beers

Stamford Nancy Savage Beers, 81, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 14, 2014 after a battle with Alzheimer's. Nancy was born April 25, 1933 in Plattsburgh, NY the daughter of Donald and Eileen Savage. Nancy graduated from Grand Gorge Central School in 1952. She worked for the NY Telephone Company for a number of years, then stayed home to raise her family before working for the Mirror Recorder in Stamford. She was an active member of the community and was involved in the SVIA and Stamford Golf Club. She will be best remembered wearing a favorite hat or playing golf with her many friends. As an avid golfer, she took many trips around the world to enjoy her favorite sport. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Edward Beers of Stamford; two daughters, Kelly Beers of Schoharie and Michelle Beers Decker (Douglas) and grandson Taylor Boyle of Davenport. At Nancy's request, there will be no funeral or memorial services.
