So sorry to hear of Rodney's passing. He will surely be missed. Whenever I saw him on the street, he always stopped to say hello and ask how I was doing. I will miss his jokes.
Where does one even begin to describe a man that is most loving, kind hearted, fun filled, devoted to Cliff and the office he held, devoted to his family, and then devoted to each and every one of us he met throughout the days....How often my mother would speak of Rodney, and how we would all get together at TA's for the cookies and lunch and laughter. It was an honor to know you Rodney Decker. Thank you for bestowing the meaning of a "friend" in me. Hugs to Maggie and families.
He will be missed by lots. Rodney and I always joked back and forth about his team the Dallas Cowboys and my team the NY Giants. Looks like I better watch out now knowing the Cowboys have the uper hand. Like it said in his obituary , you could count on seeing him haveing coffee with his buddies at the local establishment. For Rodney RIP good fellow!
I met Rodney back in 1974 when I went to work at the County Shopper. A great friendship was born and I have many, many memories of Rod - most of them involving stories and joke and laughter shared during my years in Delhi. My condolences to all his family.
to the family of Rodney b decker where to start. I am not truly sure. to me Rodney was known as DAD. He will always remain dad in my heart. How I loved him as dad. He will never be forgotten and his memories will always remain in my mind and heart. He had a GREAT heart for people and me included. I will never his smiles, laughs or his stories. he was always there when I needed someone to talk or every now and then a HUG. He also was one of my references when I needed one for a resume' and joked with me on how he tell them that how bad a worker I was, etc. which I knew he never did. Dad, I love you and always will. to his family, he will never forget you and when we see the sun think of him. he 's smiling down on us. cherish the memories, laughs, good or bad times. RIP, dear dad. Love your "adopted" daughter Lisa
To Rodney's family - so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing - he gave me my first job over 45 years ago selling ads and working on the shopper. The friendship has lasted all theses years and thank goodness I had a chance to talk and laugh with him at the fair on the square 2 weeks ago. He will be missed by many.
