Obituary of Nancy Ellen Chebetar

Jefferson Nancy Ellen (Marschke) Chebetar, 61 of Jefferson, NY passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born on January 7, 1953 in Tarrytown, NY the daughter of John and Barbara Marschke. Her childhood was spent in Irvington, NY where she graduated from Irvington High School in 1971. She then went on to Philip's Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1973. On June 21, 1981 she married Edward E. Chebetar. Nancy spent her time caring for others; her children, the elderly, a child with special needs and she was on the Committee of Special Education at South- Kortright Central School. She also loved her gardens and planting, she took great pride in everything she did. She was a great wife and loving mother who will be missed by all that knew her. She is survived by her husband Edward E. Chebetar of Jefferson, her son Edward E. Chebetar II of Richville, NY and her two daughters Aimee and Amanda Chebetar of Jefferson, NY. She has 3 grandchildren Jaiden Chebetar of Jefferson and Reese and Kameryn Chebetar of Richville, NY. Her brothers, John E. Marschke III of Hobart and Jimmy and Peter Marschke of Irvington, NY. Memorial Contributions in her name may be made to Jefferson Rescue Squad. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 12:00 pm with Hospice Chaplain Bruce Helstrom officiating, at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart, NY. Calling hours will be on Monday, November 10, from 2-4 and 7-9pm and preceding the service from 10-12:00 on Tuesday at the funeral home.
