Obituary of Cathy Moody McGovern

NINEVEH Cathy Moody McGovern 'Cat', 47, Of Nineveh, Passed away on November 17, 2014 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown. Cathy was born on May 27, 1967 daughter of Elden and Sandra Moody of Delhi. She was married to Joseph' Joe' McGovern on October 15, 2011 at a beautiful outdoor ceremony with treasured friends and loved ones. Cathy was a devoted caregiver for over 30 years. Cathy worked as a Registered Nurse with Bassett Health Care, Sidney and Delhi. She touched the lives of many patients and colleagues. Cathy loved to spend time with her family and a menagerie of animals, she enjoyed crafting and quilting, being outdoors, riding ATV's and reading in her chair at home and traveling with her husband. Cathy had an amazing personality and contagious laugh; we will forever miss her positive attitude and her ability to never 'sweat the small stuff'. Cathy was loved and truly cherished by many. She was a strong and devoted to mother to Corey, Shain and Morgan whose lives will forever have an empty place without her in it. She is also survived by her loving husband, Joseph McGovern; her Mother Sandra Moody; her brother Michael (Annette) Moody; her Sister Karen (Bob) Mellott, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her Nephew Matthew Mellott. A memorial service will be held in honor of Cathy on Sunday, November 30 from 2pm until 6 pm at the Delhi Fire Hall, Delhi, NY with Rev.
