Obituary of Robert G. Fletcher

Robert G. Fletcher, 86 of Delhi, NY passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at home. He was born September 24, 1928 in Andes, NY the son of Herbert and Harriet (Bussey) Fletcher. A lifelong area resident of Delaware County he married Blanche Davidson, February 4, 1949, they were married 66 years. Robert owned and operated Fletcher's Oil Company which he and Blanche established. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Delhi, Kiwanis, and a life time member of the Delhi Fire Department. Bob and Blanche spent many winters in Florida and did extensive traveling together. He enjoyed outdoor activities especially hunting, fishing, golfing and Bridge. He is survived by is wife Blanche at home: four children, Sandy Hunt, Malta, NY, Deb Amberg, Laguna Beach, CA, Terri Adriance (Bill) of Moreau, NY and Robert Fletcher, Jr. of Delhi, NY; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren and a sister Marjorie Hyde, Middletown, NY. There will be a Graveside Service in the Spring in Woodland Cemetery, Delhi, NY. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Delhi Fire Department.
