Obituary of Eugenia Kendall

Jeanne Kendall, 92, of Jefferson Rd., Stamford, died Wednesday evening, November 18, 2015 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi surrounded by her family. Born on August 28, 1923 in Stamford, She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Alta (Wheeler) Myers. She married Donald J. Kendall on July 26, 1944 in Blackstone, VA. She was past Matron and Regent for the DAR. In her earlier days, Jeanne was an avid bowler and was President of the Delaware County Bowling League. Years past, Jeanne was employed with the Mirror Recorder paper and later on with the Stamford Central School for 15 years. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law: Kathleen and Richard Sutton of Stamford; four sons and daughters-in-law: Donald and Jamie Kendall, Jr. of Stamford, Thomas and Anita Kendall of Harpersfield, George and Bernadette Kendall of Bloomville, and Kevin and Barbara Kendall of Oneonta; grandchildren: Kristi (Dan) Oakley, Colleen Kendall, Andrew (Kim) Kendall, Michael Kendall, Alicia (Adam) Kendall-Lewis, Daniel Kendall, Jeffrey (Marie) Kendall, Rachel Kendall, Rebekah Kendall, Sarah (Michael) Stannard, and Joshua (Leann) Sutton; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jeanne loved people and enjoyed life, especially with her grandchildren. We will miss you sorely, but will carry our hearts forever. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 11AM-1PM on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave, Hobart, where a prayer vigil service will be conducted at 1:30PM with the Rev. Michael Cambi, celebrant. Burial will follow at Stamford Cemetery, Stamford, NY
