Obituary of Dawn M. Ingersoll

Dawn M. Ingersoll, 73, of Herkimer, formerly of Stamford, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown. Born on February 16, 1944 in Stamford, She was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Whispell) Kelsey. Dawn enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts and listening to Elvis Presley music. She enjoyed her K-9 companion, Lucky. Above all else Dawn's greatest joy was her family, she was a devoted wife, loving mother and proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Mrs. Ingersoll was married to James E. Ingersoll. Dawn was predeceased by an infant son: Kenny Champlin; and a brother: Sonny Kelsey. Besides her husband, James Ingersoll of Herkimer, Dawn is survived by her children: Dennis (Becky) Champlin of Firestone, CO, Wendy (Richard Blakeslee) Roe of Rochester, NY, and Gene (Kristal Macintyre) Champlin of Stamford; grandchildren: Victoria Menard, Zachary Champlin, Bridgett Champlin, Justin Roe, Nicholas Roe and Samantha Roe; great-grandchildren: Blake, Maya, Jordan and Carter; sisters: Harriet, Doris and Dorothy; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 12PM-2PM on Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart.
