My mama was a wonderful woman with a pure heart and elegance. We shared a very special bond. She was a giver not a taker. She could be feisty when needed but a heart of gold with lots of love she shared with many people. She had this presence about her that could light up a room. She was always there for me from the day I was born my last night with her at her bedside before she passed away. We had many memories we shared not only was she a mother to me she was my best friend, loyal and always good at correcting my grammar. One thing I will never forget is my mama and papa signing a private loan for me so that I could attend college and in return I received my Bachelor's Degree because she always had faith in me and knew that if I put my mind to it I could accomplish whatever goal I prospered for. I will miss her advice, unconditional love, her advice, her presence, beauty and fashion advice.I will never forget everything we shared and she touched so many lives just being Linda Lee Kauffman.
My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Linda.

Linda was a vibrant member of our community for decades and will be missed. Her contributions helped to build our township and her energy and work ethic was a model to follow.
You have struggled mightily, Linda.....now, rest, without pain, without angst.......now, enjoy peace.

In my many years of teaching social studies(rm 214) at Downsville Central School, I would have to say that the 3 Kauffmans from East Branch - Bill, Christie, and Shawn were probably the most enjoyable and interesting students that I had in all my teaching years. Each one of them was great to have in class, and I have fond memories of things they did to add to the classes and my career as a teacher.
I express my sympathies to Linda's family upon her passing, and know that because she was such a great Mom to Bill, Christie, and Shawn, she did a great job. Well done.
