Obituary of Dennis W. Fagan
Dennis W. Fagan, 62, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on Thursday evening, September 3, 2015, at his sister Dee's home in Bloomville, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 24, 1953, he was the beloved son of Marie C. Fagan; beloved brother of Sherry Coberly, Bonnie Fagan, Linda Gilberg, Robin Vohs, Paula (Dave) Bartlett, William Fagan, Darlene (Harold) Smith, Jay (Sandra) Fagan and Michael (Cathy) Fagan; beloved uncle of 23 nieces and nephews and 38 grandnieces and nephews, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his father, William H. Fagan and grandparents, Albert & Pauline Charpentier and Daniel & Anna Fagan.
Dennis truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. He loved gardening and making his grandmothers recipe for chili sauce and pickling beets. His favorite sport was hunting with uncles and cousins at Carp's Camp. Dennis treasured the special times spent with his family and dog Veda. Dennis enjoyed many road trips to South Carolina with his mom.
After serving his country in the US Navy, Dennis moved to Oregon for a number of years and he always called that place "His Home". Dennis resided in Whitehall for the last 13 years. He enjoyed many good times and was forever grateful for the support and love shown by his cousins and friends. Dennis spent his final days in Bloomville at Dee & Smitty's farm surrounded by the love and care of his family.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 1PM-3PM on Tuesday, September 8, at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home, Delhi, where a Vigil Service will be held at 3PM with the Rev. Edward Golding, officiant. Burial with full military honors will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Bloomville.
