Obituary of George Glover Clark

George Glover Clark, 90, of Interlachen, Florida passed from this life on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center following an extended illness.

He was born in Paterson, New Jersey and been a resident of Putnam County since 2003 coming from New York.

Mr. Clark proudly served in the US Army in the 1950's. George began and ended his professional career working as a rural carrier for USPS.

He had worked many other jobs in between working for the post office. George was a mechanical engineer in the trucking industry and had also owned and operated a Carvel Ice Cream store along with his wife, Patricia. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and watching football.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Adelaide Clark, brother, Ray Clark and sister, Nancy Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Clark, sons, George Clark and William “Bill” Clark (Jean), brother, Robert Clark, as well as grandchildren, Amanda Clark, Kristine Clark and Robert Clark.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at West Jefferson Cemetery in Jefferson, NY with his son, Bill Clark officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
