My heart aches for your great great loss.I keep on looking at the sweet picture of your beloved husband and father sitting in a chair connecting with his favorite canine buddy!I look at it and see far more than a beautiful bond between a noble man and a loyal dog!I see the kind loving husband and the nurturing wise father you all were deeply forever blessed by!I known at this time there are really no words to fill the giant aching gap in your precious souls! I grieve with you all 3 as daughter who lost both parents within a course of 2 months.And when my own grief hits me in varying degrees of intensity ,I am reminded to pray for your grieving hearts as well as my own. I know our tears are precious to our God who will some day soon wipe away every tear from every brokenhearted child of his .Meanwhile we can just pray for each other and remind each other that our grief is evident that we were loved deeply and were deeply loved by the one who went home to be with our Lord.

We are so sorry for your loss. Gerry was beloved by so many. I remember many years of playing with him in worship, and he inspired so many with his banjo playing. One of my favorite memories of Gerry was at the Chinese buffet in Portland. We laughed for 2 hours. His love for the Lord, his talent as a musician, his sense of humor, and his love of people and his family, made Gerry a very special person. We will miss him!
