Ruth Rose Many
1927 - 2024
Condolences
This is a hard one. Ruth was one of my dearest friends going all the back to teaching kindergarten together at SKCS. As a young teacher with a lot to learn, the Lord put me in trailer next to the best teacher I ever knew. Ruth was a wonderful example of a teacher who loved children and loved teaching. She shared the things she loved with her students, two being her knowledge birds and her musical talent. I remember bundling the kindergarteners up and going out to play in the snow. I remember field trips to the Catskills Game Fame and to a beaver pond on the East Meredith Road. I remember swapping our classes, for half an hour twice a week, so my students could have a special music time with Ruth that they wouldn’t have had with me. I can remember taking picnic lunches and crossing Route 10 and hiking up the mountain, back when insurance still allowed these fun times. I remember big easels in the kindergarten rooms where the kids got to paint every day.
I remember talking to Ruth about her family and it was was obvious how much she loved Floyd and her children. I remember her beautiful quilts. One summer when we were visiting, Roger and I got to sleep under one of her special quilts. I remember Roger and me sitting on Ruth’s stone porch in the fresh year, eating sandwiches and fresh fruit, and drinking tea while we caught up on all that had happened since our last summer’s visit. She always always interested in what Roger was doing in education. She remembered our kids and later grandchildren’s names and always asked about them. She was a very special, once in a lifetime friend. I love you, Ruth and will miss our visits, but someday we’ll meet again praising our Lord and Savior and enjoying each other’s company for an eternity.
I was fortunate to have been in Mrs. Many's first Kindergarten class. What a great start for us young kids to have such a wonderful teacher! The music and her true caring demeanor is what i most remember! It was always a pleasure to see her smiling face. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Thanks for sharing this lovely lady! She will truly be missed.

What great lady to have known. I was lucky enough to have had her as a substitute teacher many times. I didn't know she had spent time in Norway, I went to school in Denmark. I do remember her showing us her pictures with Elsie the Cow. My sincere condolences to the family. I hope great memories of Ruth comfort you in the days ahead. I will never forget her smile.
Our sincere condolences to you all. Ruth was special to alot of people in the community. She was an amazing lady!! I remember her being the teacher at SK to all 3 of my children!! They all loved Ruth. Our prayers for comfort. Love from the Muller family.
Mrs. Many was my kindergarten teacher in 1975 and I have happy memories of sitting on the floor in her classroom singing songs together while she played the piano. I am a professional musician and piano teacher now and I think these early musical experiences had an impact on my career path. I will remember her with joy and gratitude.
The entire Many Family
Mrs Many was my kindergarten teacher at SKCS. She was one of the best. Please accept my and my family’s sympathy in your loss. RIP Mrs Many. Fly high.
I had the opportunity to help take care of Ruthie for about 8 months, she was the sweetest lady I ever had the pleasure of taking care of. I remember the stories she would tell me about Elsie the cow & her trip to Norway. I loved hearing her play the piano & would always look forward to it. Even though things were frustrating for her, she always had a smile on her face and a positive outlook. One time I had my cousin bring a baby goat for her to hold & the way her eyes lite up as she watched the goat play and petted him was something I will never forget. Ruthie will always hold a special place in my heart and will be dearly missed<3
My memory of Ruth was playing the piano for the many residents of the Hearthstone where I was activities director. I have fond memories and considered her a friend.
Condolences to the Many family.

Mrs. Many was my kindergarten teacher and will always hold a special place in my heart. My condolences to her family and friends.
My heart is with you all!! What a Beautiful redheaded lady!! I have many Beautiful memories of all our talks!!
Great teacher and a wonderful, friendly woman. Always a pleasure to see her.
Ruth became my cousin when she married Floyd Many. She was always very involved with the Township Methodist church. When I was young she was at times our Sunday School teacher, our musical director, our church play or pageant director and always our mentor to be looked up to.
When I say that the world just doesn't seem the same knowing that Ruth is not part of it, I mean it in the sincerest possible way. She was part of my life from the day she married Floyd - like an older sister and, at times, confidant. As an adult, it could be a year between meetings, but we just picked up as if only a day had passed. And lessons learned from our friendship will always be with me. My sincerest condolences to her wonderful family and other friends.
The family that nows lives in the old Rose family home, Rosemary Farm, send their deep condolences on the passing of Ruth. She was a wonderful, gracious lady who shared with us the history of this house and land, and we were honored to have her visit on the occasion of her last birthday, on Dec 23, 2023. We sat together on the porch enjoying the unseasonably warm afternoon, and brought horses to say hello, and enjoy memories of what was, and what the homestead has grown into. We honor the legacy of the Rose family. It is a special memory now, that visit, that we will treasure. May her memory be a blessing to those closest to her.
Ruth was a beautiful person. The goodness in her heart shone through her.
Rest in peace, Ruth. You will be sorely missed by all the lives you touched.
So sorry for your loss.
