Obituary of James T. "Jim" Householder
James T. “Jim” Householder, 87, of Grand Gorge, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at his home following a long illness.
Born on April 7, 1937, in Strongsville, OH, the son of the late Theron Edward and Helen (Matheny) Householder.
He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 until his honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1958.
Jim worked for over 35 years as a truck driver and shop steward with UPS, he then went on to be a Business Agent for the Teamsters Local 177 in Hillside, NJ, following his retirement Jim relocated to Delaware County and owned and operated Night Pasture Horse Farm in Grand Gorge until his passing.
Being outdoors either hunting or on horseback were Jim’s passions.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son James A. Householder.
He is survived by his wife: Karin Lee Householder of Grand Gorge; and his son: Timothy J. (Kim Bowen) of Oklahoma.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at 5:30PM on Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Discover Life Church, 14464 Main St, Prattsville, NY 12468.
