With a heavy heart and tears running down my face. Dan was a friend I met back in the 80's. We were building a veal plant in town. We become immediately friends and even went hunting in Colorado together. Dan had a heart of gold and loved his family. So sorry for your loss Sherry and family!

I'm very sad to hear that Dan left this earth but comforted to know he will never be far away from those he loved.

Dan was a constant in my growing up years. Like a big brother, he let me tag a long on many adventures. His full face smile, his laugh, all things I have never forgotten. When I had my first little one, Sherry and the girls were part of her life and so sweet to my little girls.

My early years are full of memories of lots laughter. My mom and Mable were best of friends.

He was a big, grumbling teddy bear. Always kept an eye on the neighborhood, by driving well under the speed limit. Told the best stories I've ever heard - multiple times, so you knew they were true. Took a lot of joy watching kids playing and being happy. Held a grudge like no other and was immovable in his convictions. We had many stark differences but he was always my friend. Without cancer, his life could have been longer. Without Sherry, it would have been a lot shorter. I'll miss playing music in the garage, drinking his Genny and hearing him laughing.
