Louis A. Desimone

Condolences
Just seen this as I looked up Lou name. Worked with him in post office, many lunches, yearly trip to Saratoga races. He was very great man and dearly missed. God bless you Louie.
So sorry for the family’s loss of Louis. Knew him thru Aunt Eileen’s sister, my parents George & Eleanor Keeler. Loved going out to lunch with him when one of the”uncle Dons “ would come to visit mom & dad & he would drive to Rotterdam, Ny to join us at lunch. Another of Aunt Eileen’s sibling, her brother Joe would keep me appraised of how Louis was doing after George & Eleanor passed. We will miss knowing his joyful self no longer is here. Lou was a delightful member of the Jefferson Senior Center. I had only known him for a short time but always knew him as the man with the greatest smile who loved ice cream. He was also the next door neighbor of my son and daughter-in-law Steven and Hilary Eklund.
Our sincere condolences and prayers to Louis's immediate and extended families. He is the brother of our good friend Tom Desimone.. My wife and I met Louis a few times at Tom Desimone's family events, but never knew what we just read in his obit. WOW. He was quite a man and quietly had an extraordinary life. He gave and shared his talents and gifts generously. He was a patriot and a fighter and loved his very large family. From what we've read, he was a strong image and role model of courage and love for his siblings, children. and grandchildren. His memory and life will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in the peace of Our Lord ,,, Sue & Al Midura
Although its been many many years since i’ve seen or spoke to Louie, i want to send my heartfelt sympathy and prayers to the family. Lou For the man who had a full life dedicated to service, it was an honor and great pleasure to help YOU out in your time of need. I thank you for the MANY words of wisdom over the years as your friend. You and Eileen made my move to Jefferson so much easier than I had thought. Your kindness to me as a single mom as awesome! Our first Christmas you provided decoraions and surprised Chris on Christmas Eve with a remote control car and Santa and Mrs. Claus were the BOMB!!!! Rest well my pal I will so miss you as will all your FAM friends and neighbors. Thank you also for reminding me the POWER of prayer. Your love faith service and laughter I will truly miss. Love Nancy John Chris Taren and Joey
I was so blessed to know Lou these past few years at the Jefferson senior center. He had a radiant smile that lit up the room, and whenever you asked him how he was he'd reply "wonderful!" So some of us called him Mr. Wonderful, which he was. He also treated all his "girls", and a few "guys" to lunch every Friday at the Heartbreak, or the Stamford golf club. Lou also loved ice cream, and made sure we at the Senior Center were always well provided with several gallons for our Wednesday ice cream feasts! God keep you close, Lou, you were one of a kind. Love you.
