Obituary of Sabine Zahn

Sabine Zahn, 77, of Harpersfield, passed away at her home early Tuesday morning, January 23, 2024 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 13, 1946 in Magdeburg, East Germany, Sabine was the daughter of the late Paul and Elsbeth (Doell) Krauter.

Sabine was married to Heinrich Zahn and was a homemaker, caring for their home and children, she also enjoyed gardening and golfing.

Besides her parents, Sabine was predeceased by her son: Thomas Zahn in 2022.

She is survived by her husband: Heinrich Zahn of Harpersfield; daughter: Regina (Scott) Pompei of Carmel, NY; grandchildren: Matthew and Alex Pompei both of Carmel, NY; sister: Hedda (Peter) Masrobuono of Mahopac, NY; brother: Dieter (Margaret) Krauter of Valhalla, NY; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
