Mike and I have so many fond memories of sharing time with you & Charlie - at basketball games, in Harpersfield, at Thanksgiving tables ... we send all of our love and sympathy to you.
Charlie was a man with a big personality. We met as freshmen entering Amherst College in 1958. It turned out we lived a few miles apart in New Jersey. Charlie was an outstanding student and played basketball at Cliffside Park HS, then one of the best teams in the county. He went on to play at Amherst and was a lifetime loyal fan of Amherst especially basketball. We both eventually settled back in Bergen County, NJ, where we enjoyed his barbecue and culinary talents when he lived in Haworth. He had an exceptional memory and was great for keeping up our friendship with phone calls. We did get to visit his great landscaping and gardening project in Harpersfield. He will be missed.
Charlie and I traveled many places via my photo albums. Lots of stories shared. Russia , New Zealand, and most of all Paris. He was a special friend. I will miss him.
Charlie and Denise loved coming to watch our girls play basketball and show their support for SCS. He and Sean would sit and chat sports and coach from the sidelines together. I loved seeing Charlie's smiling face and a different bow tie on every time I saw him. He will be missed tremendously by the Lynch family. Sending so much love to Denise and family! XOXOXO Rebecca
We just read of Charlie's death and extend our sincere condolences to Denise as well as all family and friends. He was one of a kind - a special gentleman who we feel fortunate to have known. He'll be missed by many people.
