Jon Campbell was a beloved teacher ! He was one of my favorites!
SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS! I ALWAYS LIKED MR. C! My senior year homeroom teacher
Such a wonderful human; always a kind word and heartfelt smile... he told me what career I would have before I had any idea . Sending my love to his family❤️
Mr. Jon Campbell was an absolute gem, as a person, as a friend, and teacher. Simply, by being himself, he led by example gracefully always with humility, kindness, compassion, with a jolly sense of humor. Because I knew him as a teenager as my teacher and friend without reservation I can say with beaming pride that I am a better person today because I had the pleasure of calling Mr. Campbell my teacher and friend.
My condolences to Carol, Mike, and my dear friend Casey.
His legacy is everlasting.
I loved him as a teacher. Loved the current events with him every day. To this day I watch the news every morning I often think of him, I remember my first babysitting job for his kids
John was a treasure on our faculty. He was unabashedly himself and we loved him for it. Paula Matteson
Jon Campbell was a great teacher and human being! His sly smile and quiet demeanor was always a welcome site. Jon was a great family man always sharing how proud he was of his children and wife. We always talked about life in general and “ laundry day”. He took a real interest in everyone he met. He treated everyone the same no matter what their walk in life was. Jon was a great coworker and will be greatly missed. I was honored to gsve know such a wonderful man!!!
Sorry for your loss. Many childhood memories of Mr. Campbell and yes I remember Trivia days!
Such a great teacher. He was also our class advisor, he will be missed by so many. May you rest in piece Mr. Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was my Social Studies teacher from 9th through 12th grade. He was kind, patient, and passionate about history, politics, and current events. I always enjoyed playing trivia I. His class. My most sincere condolences to Mr. Campbell’s family.
RIP Mr. Campbell, your patience was tested by my class daily but you always handled it well. I can still remember your mannerism and professionalism in class. Rest well. Nikki F '94
He was so kind and such a good teacher. He kept us interested and engaged with current events, trivia and poignant movies! I will always think of him fondly when I watch the mini series CENTENNIAL! My condolences to his family but know he was loved.-Josie Bivona Pyenta
Very sad to hear the news regarding the passing of Mr Campbell…I have many fond memories of him as my history teacher and advisor on the student newspaper. He had a true passion for teaching and possessed an immense store of energy and enthusiasm. He greatly influenced my life not only while I was at JCS but also for the last 40 years after graduating. In particular he imparted a love of current events and curiosity about the world that I have been fortunate to experience first hand. He will always be Mr Campbell to me…and a most treasured teacher. Eric Mead class of 1983, San Antonio, Texas
You were very well liked by many as being a teacher! You were very kind and understanding. And yes, we especially liked your trivia games day!!! And those “boring” history videos you had us watch - I wish I paid more attention cuz they are actually VERY interesting and I find myself watching them now (and think about you every time that I do - lol). RIP Mr. Campbell - and condolences to your family.
