Obituary of Rosemarie Gutliph
Rosemarie Gutliph, 67, most recently of Walton, passed away at home on Tuesday January 10, 2023 following a long illness.
Born on February 28, 1955 in Glens falls, NY. Rosemarie was the daughter of Roderick Hillis and the late Margaret Murphy Hillis.
Rosemarie graduated from South Kortright Central School in 1974 and was the first woman to graduate from the NCOC Automotive Program. Rosemarie had a love for driving truck and started her career with driving truck with her father, Roderick. She later married Terry Ramp who she met through driving truck, and they had a son, Shannon M. Ramp who predeceased her in 2002.
Rosemarie is probably best known locally for all of her years driving for Lefever’s Excavating, Inc. in Bovina. Everyone would look for her coming in the big yellow Lefever’s dump truck that had the “Rose Bud” bug deflector and hot pink antenna.
Rosemarie enjoyed many things in life but her favorite things included being a grandmother to Owen and Layla, fishing and driving the chase vehicle for the motorcycle club; Worn & Weathered, LLC.
Rosemarie is survived by her Daughter; Jessica, her Grandchildren; Owen & Layla, her Father; Roderick Hillis (Phyllis), her Sisters; Debra Peterson (Otis), Lisa Alleyne, Laurie Wehmeyer (James), Stephanie Hillis (Mary), Amy Reinshagen (Charlie), and Julie Sechrist (William), her Nieces and Nephews; Lyndsey, Kevin, David, Devon, Adam, Kyra, Brandon, Tyler, Matthew, Jordyn, and many other loved ones including; Tim Gutliph, Adam and Amanda Condon, Janet Hillis Tuttle & Bill Tuttle, Audrey Thorington, Keith Dibble, Kathy Lee her children Ashley Scobie and Zachary Haverly, Nate Jamieson, Paul Jurgens, Tim Pitt, her Family at Lefever’s Excavating and so many more.
Friends and Family are invited to attend a Celebration of Life for Rosemarie on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Delhi American Legion from 11am-3pm.
