Dear Elsie and Family, There are people you just meet in life and then there are the people who make an impression, Jay made an impression. I had the good fortune of knowing him for about 30 years and even though it was sometimes just a few days a year it was always a pleasure.

He always welcomed Gavin and his extended group of characters with warmth, good stories and most of all humor. Gavin was very fond of all the Wrights and considered Jay a special friend. Jay and Elsie gave him his two beloved Golden Retrievers who filled his life with many years of joy. It’s a shame Jay and Gavin never had a chance to say goodbye but I’d like to think they are catching up on things now both laughing and both forever 80.

The rest of us will all miss Jay and remember him fondly.

May he rest in peace! I have known him since he married Elsie. I babysat each of his children! I remember snow mobile riding with him. What a wonderful man and family! I knew his parents and his siblings as well. He will be dearly missed! Prayers for Elsie and his children as the grieve and I hope that happy memories carry them through.
