Frank W. Bovee, Jr.
1934 - 2022
Condolences
I just like to say Scoutmaster did so much for so many young men starting back in the 50’s when my brother Gary & I joined which was then Troop 35, later reformed into Troop 33. Frank led us all thru different levels of scouting to include being members of Order of the Arrow at Crumhorn Mt. scout camp. And further into Lodge 402. A hearty and thoughtful thanks to a man that not only served his country but to many boys. Happy camping Frank in a new field of flowers. Gratefully I am Star Scout because of you. Lee A. Carol and Family--It is with great sadness that I hear of Frank's passing. I first met Frank when we purchased the Delhi Diner in 1992. He was a fixture there from Day 1. We quickly became friends. There are so many things I remember thru the years---He always appeared a little after opening in the early morning and ALWAYS hung the flag out before he came in. He helped orchestrate a baby shower at the diner when our daughter Kellie was born and thoroughly enjoyed holding her while at the diner. That graduated to her joining him for lunch many days. If she saw him there, she was at his table or at the stool next to him, making pyramids out of creamers, coloring or scratching off a lottery ticket. The times I was worried about a customer or two because they didn't show up at their "normal" time--he would run and check on them. If someone came to the diner with a problem, he either helped them or told them where to get help. He always had a great sense of humor-we served him a "kitty litter" cake for his birthday one year, complete with tootsie rolls on top--he was genuinely touched that we did that for him and laughed so hard! His love of my mom's homemade cookies....he would jump up, open the door for her and follow her to the counter to get them first. Many times if it was super busy early, before my help arrived, he would jump behind the counter and pour some coffee or clear tables. When the Flood of 1996 devastated the area, Frank was one of the first to come by to see what he could do to help, even though I am sure there were many others he was doing the same to. He also brought coffee and snacks while we were getting cleaned up. There are so many stories!
We send our condolences to you and your family. Frank was a great man--a huge asset to the Delhi community and he will be greatly missed by all. I am sure my mom was waiting for him at the pearly gates with a plate full of fresh cookies!

I was so shocked to hear Frank had passed away. He was an iconic figure in Delhi. Loved his jokes in the Delhi Diner. Always had a smile and always said hello. Sending love and prayers as you go thru this difficult time. With deepest sympathy for your loss. Barb Kendall
My deepest sympathies to Aunt Carol, Brenda and Pam for the passing of Uncle Frank. I have many memories from when I was young going to your house for family get-togethers. Uncle Frank was a big help to me when I was researching Grandma Gerts Family. I wish I had visited you all more. All my love to you.
To the Bovee Family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We knew Frank from working with the Boy Scouts. He was a great man and we had many enjoyable camping experiences with him. Prayers for the family.

Sorry to hear about Frank Bovee's passing. He was always helping out with many endeavors. He was on Delhi pistol team when Cordy convinced me to join and shoot at matches. Good times and memories.
It was always a pleasure when working with Frank in so many areas of his community endeavors, especially in my professional involvement with him in the Woodland Cemetery, where Frank was an accommodating gentleman without fail. Delhi has seen another outstanding citizen depart our midst.
My sincere condolences are extended to Carol, Brenda and Pamela.
