Donna and family, It goes without saying that Gary was one of a kind. A more honest and upright man I have never met. We had a small tight knit group of "brothers" in the service of which Gary was the unassuming natural leader. Though we only saw each other in person three times since the service, he remained a great friend throughout all of those years. I am very grateful for that. It is exceptionally obvious to anyone who looks upon your family that his dedication and love for you is unmatched. Rest assured that Gary is building some magnificent mansions alongside another Master Carpenter, preparing for the great reunion we will all have one day. Until then, God's love, comfort, reassurance, and peace, be upon you. Godspeed my friend!

Donna and family, please accept my sincere condolences. I was stationed with Gary at Minot and we work the same shift, boy what a crew we had! I’ll always cherish my memories of Gary and his love of music and the countless hours we spent in the base barracks watching MTV. Huge Hugs! Gary will not be forgotten.

Since Gary's retirement a couple of years ago, his strong work ethic, his knowledge, his calm demeanor even in the face of adversity, and most of all his laugh have all been greatly missed. True blue, as they say; one of the good guys. He cared about the job, cared about people, cared about doing the right thing. To me, it always seemed like he brought 100% to the table; a person of integrity with a twist of having fun along the way. Although it doesn't seem like he was given enough time in this world, he made a difference to those that knew him. My condolences to Gary's family, especially his wife, Donna, and their children. It was always abundantly clear that he was so proud and loved all of you very much.

Gary always had the best stories to tell!!! He will be greatly missed!!! Always in our hearts.

Gary was a trusted friend to me, and would often help Fenton Jones and I suss out the Union issues of the day. His help and counsel made my job easier. After I retired we'd often meet for lunch and sometimes ice cream! I will miss those times for the rest of my life.

When I hear a song by the Stones or the Kinks, I'll remember him. When I go to a classic car or motorcycle show, I'll remember him. When I see a turtle in the road that needs to be helped to the roadside, I'll remember him. I will be eternally grateful that he was my friend. I am not a religious person, but I believe that in the spiritual world, we will meet again. Rest assured, Donna and family, you will be together with Gary again one day. I wish you peace and love to sustain you in the coming days, months and years. Keep you love together, as I know that Gary loved you all very much.
