Dear Adrienne and Allison ...

I have fond memories of both your mom and dad, Erika and Dennis. and the times we shared together at each others homes. As I watched you growing up with my daughters, I recall the times when you came to our home after school.

Erika displayed a compassion for others, as well as a wonderfully memorable smile which will be missed.

I knew Erika as a cheerful, happy member of the German Reading Group in Cooperstown and Oneonta. My husband Emery was also involved. We hosted the group at our house many times and enjoyed Erika's company a great deal and also visited her very nice home at The Plains. Your photos show many happy times with your Mom. Knowing her love for outdoor activities

was fun for me and I admired her for her many talents, interests, and love of sweets!

While I didn’t know your mom I can see by her smilie the photos, she had a passion for her family and bringing joy to them all. Those happy memories are ones you should always remember and cherish as you get through this difficult time.

So sorry to learn of Erikas' passing! I worked with Erika in the WIC program and remember her optimism, intelligence, and sharp wit. She enjoyed life to its fullest and had so many interesting stories. She shared her Honeymoon with Dennis, sailing around England! She was a dedicated nurse also. Every time I ran into her, she would have that beautiful smile and twinkle in her eye. I will miss this wonderful woman, but feel fortunate to have met her. My prayers and love to her family.
