Obituary of Alan C. Noble

Alan C. Noble, 70, of Meridale, died on Sunday June 26, 2022 at his home following a battle with cancer.

Born on January 21, 1952 in Oneonta, Alan was the son of the late Frederick and Theris (Gesell) Noble.

Alan was a lifelong resident of the Delaware County area. He attended Delaware Academy and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1969, serving his country in Vietnam and Japan until his discharge in 1974.

Alan had special skills as a carpenter and built his own beautiful home in Meridale, New York.  He married Vicki Brown in 1986 and they had two children, Benjamin and Allison.

He enjoyed reading and American history (especially Civil War history), music (rock and roll), sports (especially Buffalo Bills Football).   He particularly like spending fun times with his friends, and he had many.

Alan is survived by his son: Benjamin of Meridale; daughter: Allison of Oneonta; wife: Vicki of Delhi; brother: Barry (Diane) Noble of East Meredith; as well as several nieces, nephews, and aunts.

A memorial service will be held at Alan’s homes on a later date to be announced.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff with Helios Care who helped Alan these past few months.  He received excellent care with them. Also, thanks to the American Legion who donated medical equipment and the patrons there that helped transport the equipment to his home.
