Obituary of Robert E. Hull
Robert E. Hull, 86 of Fultonham, formerly of Johnson Hollow Road, Grand Gorge, New York, passed away peacefully into the hands of the Lord on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, surrounded by his family and the caring doctors and nurses of Albany Medical Center.
Robert (Bob) was born on May 25, 1935 in Johnson Hollow to Robert B. Hull and Dorothy (Enderlin) Hull.
Bob married Virginia (Ginny) F. Naso on November 29, 1958, at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church in Grand Gorge, New York. Together, they owned and operated the Rexmont Farm in Johnson Hollow from 1958 until 2000. There they raised their four children. Prior to selling the farm in 2000, Bob took a position as Sole Assessor for the Town of Roxbury. He spent many years in this position, working hard and achieving many accomplishments for the town and taxpayers of Roxbury.
Upon semi-retiring, Bob and Ginny moved to their dream log home in Fultonham. Bob became the dog control officer for the Town of Fulton and served as a member of the town planning board. Bob had many interests and hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his mini farm of horses, alpacas, sheep and goats. Bob had a passion for collecting and tinkering with old farm equipment. He enjoyed talking about the latest news and loved to visit with family and friends. He was known to offer a helping hand whenever anyone needed it. Spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandson brought him great joy.
Bob was predeceased by his parents; wife, Ginny; brothers Ron and Gerald; and first child “Baby Boy” Hull. He is survived by his children, Kevin R. Hull (Ann) of Jefferson; Dennis G. Hull (Annie) of Prattsville; Stephanie V. Casale (Andrew) of Brunswick; and Kathaleen Hull of Fultonham. PopPop will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Emily A.H. Cassidy (Jack) of Durham, North Carolina; Erin E. Hull (fiancé Zach) of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; Dennis J. Hull of Prattsville; Michael R. Hull of Prattsville; Nicholas A. Casale (Emily) of Troy; and Samantha M. Casale ( Glenn) ) of Cohoes; and great grandson, Logan J. Hull. He is also survived by three sisters, and many nieces and nephews
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Middleburgh Ambulance Corp. for their many visits to assist Bob.
