Obituary of Kenneth "Sonny" Stryker

Kenneth “Sonny” Stryker, 90, of Stamford, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

Born on September 15, 1931 in Ellenville, NY, the son of the late W. Maxwell and Celia (Moore) Stryker.

Kenneth grew up on the Stryker Family Farm and after leaving the farm he became a owner/operator truck driver for his entire career, driving for Catskill Craftsman and later for Baillie Lumber Company until his retirement.

Besides his parents, Sonny was predeceased by a son: Kenny in 2002; and a sister: Maureen (Bill) Snyder.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years: Barbara DeWitt Stryker of Stamford; children: Tina Mirtallo (Kim Arch) of Stamford and Dennis Stryker of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Jennifer and Blake; four great-grandchildren: Megan, Alyssa, Lilly and Jason II; a sister: Susan Morkaut; brothers: Maxie (Carolyn) Stryker and Carson (Carol) Stryker; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be held at 1PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Stamford Cemetery.
