Obituary of Patricia Sroke

Patricia Claire (Geithner) Sroke peacefully passed into the loving arms of her heavenly father on March 29, 2022.

She was born in Garfield, NJ, on January 19, 1934.

Predeceased by her parents, Fritz & Rose (Klauser) Geithner, sister Doris Schneeberger & brothers Walter & Robert Geithner.

Patricia graduated from Garfield High School and worked in a lamp shade factory until she met and married the love of her life, Basil Sroke Jr., on April 7, 1951.

Patricia was the wonderful loving mother of four daughters, Marilyn (Donald) Sciorra of Westtown, NY, Evelyn (Bruce) Gaffney of Phoenix, AZ, Patricia (Robert) Doak of New Port Richie, Fla, and Laura (Art) Wayman of Delhi.

She was a lifelong Christian Bible Student who lived by the Lord's word. Patricia had many interests and talents, including reading, sewing, crocheting, canning, cooking, baking & building stone walls, but her passion was her huge vegetable garden & extensive flower gardens.  She was always busy outdoors from dawn till dusk. Patricia enjoyed the country life raising chickens, ducks, beef cows & pigs.

Patricia loved & always looked forward to seeing her eight grandchildren, Julie (Al) Ferrara, Kelly (Chris) Perry, Brian Gaffney, Nicholas Pagerie, Alexander Pagerie, Lindsey (Chris) Reynolds, Amy (Nick) Snider, Jenny Rose (Mark) Erickson.  Also loved dearly are her twelve great-grandchildren, Kayla, Collin, Tegan, Allie, Audrey, Aria, Ryan, Charlie, Sylvia, Aiden, Olivia & Henry. She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Basil.
