Obituary of Muriel F. Rowlands

Muriel F. Rowlands of Delhi, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2022 at the age of 92.

She is survived by her family: Deb and Steven Fleming, Russ Rowlands and Sue Pickens, Phil and Sylvia Rowlands, her grandchildren: Kathryn, Margot, Matthew, Crystal, Lori, Derek, Jordan, Raisa, Cassidy, Brandon, Brianna, Kellin, 21 great-grandchildren, a brother- in-law: Kenneth Rowlands, and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

She was born on October 11, 1929 in Mineola, NY, the daughter of the late Edna (Stebner) and Frank Fuchs. She graduated from Mineola High School and married her high school sweetheart, Warren Rowlands, on May 27, 1950 at The First Presbyterian Church, Mineola, NY. They lived on Long Island where their three children we born until 1971 when they moved to Delhi, NY.

For many years she worked as a receptionist for the Delaware County Family Court and Delaware County Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jumbles, and cooking, but most of all she enjoyed the love of her life, Warren, her husband of 72 years.

Muriel was an ordained Elder and member of the West Delhi Presbyterian Church where she served as Clerk of Session and as a Trustee.

A celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the West Delhi Presbyterian Church, 45 Sutherland Road, Delhi, NY.
