Obituary of Walter Kibe

Walter Kibe, 83 of Stamford passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Delhi Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Delhi.

Born on September 5, 1938 in Oyster Bay, Walter was the son of the late Pearl Kibe Jackson.

He spent most of his career serving the United States Military, a proud Vietnam Veteran first enlisting in the US Navy, following 20 years Walter was honorably discharged and spent an additional 16 years working at West Point Military Academy.

He was married to his beloved wife Tomi, who passed away on September 2, 2015.

Walter was a jack of all trades and mister fix it, if there was something that needed to be repaired there was a good chance he could get the job done.  In his younger years he enjoyed fishing and following his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his wife Tomi. Walter had a passion for military history and enjoyed studying firearms and especially the American Civil War.

Besides his wife, Walter was predeceased by his siblings: William Kibe and Cynthia Mealy.

He is survived by his sons: Thomas Kibe of Fort Worth, Tx, William and his wife Buffy Kibe of Conway, SC and Paul Kibe of Oneonta, NY; granddaughter Amanda Kibe of Conway, SC; sisters: Elizabeth Jackson and Sylvia Quintana; brother: Burnell Green; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

At Walter’s request there will be no calling hours or funeral services.
