I worked with George at SUNY Delhi over the years, but my favorite moment occurred on Cape Cod. My son and I were riding our bikes on the rail trail and who should be riding toward us but George and family!! Prior to that I had not known that he spent time on the Cape each summer just as we had!!

Dear Eric, Karen and extended Misner family,

Your father was a very special person to me and others. He always carried himself with great integrity and was quick to help others. He had true empathy--which is rare. For me, he was a great mentor, confidant, and friend after I arrived at Delhi in 1982. We shared an office for many years and cared deeply for those with whom he worked. We shared much more than that space in Evenden Tower.
