Dear Family. Have missed not seeing Mable this past year at events that were curtailed due to the pandemic. She was one of the first people I met when I started working at SUNY Delhi back in 1974. So helpful and kind - and a lot of fun. She and Dawn shared an office with Otis Needle and I was nearby with Ruth Brant. Miss her already. Miss her smile and words of encouragement. Love to you Barb and Junior and family.

So very sorry for your loss of Mable. What a wonderful person, witty, smart, kind, and a pleasure to have a conversation with. She was one of a kind. We need more people like Mable in the world.
As a former member of the SUNY Delhi faculty, I'll always remember Mabel as a smiling and caring person who never failed to brighten my day. Rest in peace Mable.
What a loss for this World! I encountered Mabel via Tai Chi two years ago. She had a unique gift of making one feel good in one's "skin," effusing a serenity and focus on others, with true sincerity. Yes. she's not with us in body; yes, she gave of her spirit, to the true and lasting benefit of others. Thanks to her family and friends for sharing her! Know her Peace.
My sincere condolences for your loss. Mabel was an amazing lady and will be truly missed. She was a beautiful soul inside and out. I will miss you my dear friend. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for sharing the memorial service with us <3 I am deeply saddened to hear of her passing on.
Mable was an amazing woman. I knew her through the churches in Delhi over the past twenty years. She was humble and kind, funny and she just always knew what to say. She was a very loving, caring person and she gave great hugs. She is a beautiful soul and she definitely knew Jesus. I will be looking forward to seeing her again one day <3 Prayers to her family and friends.
I have many great memories of Mable from my times spent with her at Legion functions in past years to the times we would see each other at the post office which were many. My mother and Mable used to go to water exercise classes at SUNY. Mom said it was Mable who encouraged her to go. They became good friends. Of course anyone who has ever had the chance to meet Mable knows it was easy to become her good friend. We extend our deepest sympathies to your family.
My deepest condolences to Mable's friends and family. I became acquainted with Ms Mable through the Del Cty Legacy Corps offered through OFA. I was the coordinator. She had such a beautiful spirit and love of Christ just shining through her all the time. I never recall seeing her when she wasn't smiling. What a privilege to work with her and I admired her generosity of time and talent in her volunteer work. Rest in peace my dear friend, Kit
Mabel was always friendly and spoke whenever I was in town. Guillaume was in my class while he attended DA. She will be greatly missed.
I was 1st introduced to Mable when my brother joined their family. Since then, I got to know Mable a bit as we shared political perspectives. She is one of the kindest, generous and most honorable women I have ever met. I just loved her. Her smile and spirit were infectious. She will be missed, but her legacy will continue on in the lives of the people fortunate enough to have known her.
So sorry to hear of Mabel passing. She was a wonderful lady, always with a smile and a kind word. Our sympathy to her family.

I have known Mable throughout her years of Community Service. I really got to know her so much better when we took Water Aerobics together, oh my, the smile the laugh was so infectious. She was and still is the most beautiful woman inside and out. She will be missed by her friends and family.
Our condolences to John and family.

My condolences to the family, Mabel sure was a special person. I met her when I started working for CADI. Back then we had a stair watcher to make sure the students didn't take things as they left. Mabel worked this position.. One evening a student tried to walk out with a plate of spaghetti and she tried to stop him. He threw the spaghetti in her face. She chased him down the stairs and not sure where she caught him, but she did. Can't remember what happened next, She always had such a beautiful smile and a great way with the students. She will be missed by many. Rest in peace dear Mabel! Phyllis Heannings

We were so sorry to read of Mable's passing in this morning's Daily Star. I worked with Mable for many years at SUNY Delhi and my husband Alan and I always loved seeing her when we voted, or running into her at Price Chopper, or at the St. James Flea Market. Mable was a treasure, full of kindness and love, and she will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go to her family at this sad time. May her memory be a blessing to you all.
