Obituary of Betty D. Mauger

Betty D. Mauger, 94, of Oneonta, formerly of South Kortright, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 7, 2020.

Born on June 8, 1926 in South Kortright, She was the daughter of the late Harold and Dora (Hait) Dibble.

Betty was a graduate of South Kortright Central School.  She was married to Francis Mauger, he passed away in 1996.

In her earlier years Betty enjoyed camping.  Her favorite pastimes were antiquing for glass toothpicks and shoes, crossword puzzles and computer games.  Family was very important to Betty and she loved talking with her family and friends, often encouraging them.   Betty was a member of HillCity Church in Oneonta, where she loved spending time with her church family.

Besides her husband, Betty was predeceased by her sisters: Frances Morse and Evelyn Beach.

She is survived by her children: Linda (Paul) Lorentz of Eustis, FL, Shirley (Bill) Cox of Bethesda, OH and Pat (Ernie) Sills of Oneonta; grandchildren: Laura (David) Edwards and Matthew Cox; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends and relatives were invited to call on the family on Saturday, October 10, 2020 were a service followed at church.  The service can be watched by clicking on the link below.
