John was a great man and man of God. From the first time I met John, I loved him. John reminded me of my Dad and since my Dad was gone I loved getting his hugs. I am heartbroken but know he is with Our Lord.

We will always fondly remember John as warm, welcoming and encouraging. His very nature made us feel at home when we were with him. He and his wife Grace lovingly embraced our son when he joined their family treating Andrew as one of their own grandchildren, which meant a great deal to us. I am sure that all who knew John will miss him greatly! We pray that God ministers comfort to all of his family, and we rejoice that John gave his life to "declare the excellencies of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.'
