Obituary of Dr. Daniel Sullivan

Dr. Daniel Sullivan, 64, of Jefferson, passed away at Bassett Medical Center on Sunday evening, May 17, 2020 following a courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Born on March 26, 1956 in Queens, Daniel is the son of Joseph Sullivan and Georgiana (Ripple) Sullivan. He graduated from Our Lady of Fatima University with his Veterinary Doctorate and opened the Grand Gorge Animal Hospital, where Dr. Dan practiced for over 26 years until illness forced his retirement late last year. Besides his love and care for animals, Dr. Dan had a passion for flying as a private pilot, he was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, camping, sport shooting and horseback riding. Daniel’s greatest passion and joy was his family. Besides his parents, Dan is survived by his wife: Cathy Sullivan; children: Julie, Bobbi, Peter, Briana and Morgan; grandchildren: Thomas, Luke, Nicky, Dylan, Mason and Linsey; sister: Tracy; and nephews: Travis and Connor.
