Condolences
Hello , to all that knew the wonderful artist + sculptor TIM TOUHEY of Hobart , New York - - I met TIM TOUHEY on Friday night June 29 2001 - I was driving on route 10 in Hobart , New York when I noticed a building with it's lights on holding an art exhibit - So I pulled over and went in and there were a few people still there - the night was sort of winding down and he offered me a drink - I told him I was a musician and he asked if I would play - So I got my guitar microphone and amp out of the trunk of my car and did a few tunes for the people that were there - He also told me that I could stay for the night at his place - about a mile or so away going back south on route 10 - I did - and he and his girlfriend made me a nice breakfast - From that time on we kept in touch and he asked me if I would play his upcoming 4th of July party the coming Wednesday - I did - ! - Yes and from that day I met a lot of the nice people of Hobart , New York - I am only finding out of his passing today on Wednesday morning February 7 2024 - I had thought of TIM TOUHEY many times over the years - We spoke on the phone a few times - But I did not see him since probably 2009 or son - Rest in peace my dear friend with love from your pal forever Hollywood Joe also known as Joe Nania
If Tim moved to Delaware Co. in 1982, then that is when I first had the pleasure of meeting him as I worked in the local bank he chose to do his banking through. Within a year or so, Tim hung a most wonderful art show in the bank lobby, which received rave reviews and some valuable local media exposure. Tim was a fine gentleman and a good friend. Rest in peace my friend - you have advanced on to your Eternal Life way too early... I send my sincere sympathy to those Tim left here...

Tim, I remember when you welcomed us when we moved in next door from you. We had the best of times and also some not so good times. I know you are now home and Teresa and I will always be grateful to have known a good soul. Rest now, brother (as what you have always called me).
Sorry, Jen. Peace!
Dear Jen;
I am sorry for your loss, Tim will always be remembered for his sensitivity to beauty. He was an extraordinarily talented, artistic and creative person, in all forms of art. He excelled at expressing his talents quite beautifully, and gifted many who experienced his work.
Love and blessings

I remember in the early days of the community how much help you were in building and in artistic work.
I fondly remember the amazing crystal exhibit you created in the basement of the community house.
We were all in awe of how beautiful it was.
I always appreciated your help and knew the work would get done when you came around.
God speed you on your journey and may it continue to be beautiful and creative.
All our love and home going wishes to our friend Tim...your music, your art, your inner beauty has blessed us for as long as we have known you....til we meet again
Tim our time together was short but our fellowship was one of love, joy and peace. You were a bright light that burst onto our horizon and filled the landscape with love. It is a privilege to have known you! We will always love you!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with you Jen, with love. Sonia
Dear Jen,
I'm sorry for your loss. I'll always remember Timothy's ready smile and sense of humor. His warm personality was striking and appreciated whenever I happened to see him. He always had a good story to tell and he was truly a creative force. Sincere. A true individual- there was nothing false about him. God bless him and God bless you and family.

I remember be evening around summer 1988, after Tim and I put in a hard day’s work installing insulation on the roof of our geodesic dome house, we were hanging out at his house and Tim was playing music on his piano. It was totally spontaneous, riff after riff of divinely inspired music. At some point, his black cat, Shadow, got up on his shoulder and then climbed up on his head. Tim nonchalantly continued to play while I sat mesmerized listening and watching that cat sit motionless on Tim’s head. Tim had his demons, but he surely also had his angels. Go in peace, Tim. Craig
Tim, you were a true force of nature, exploding with creativity, convictions, and sometimes with righteous anger and sometimes with righteous love. A man like you, who cared so much, is rare, and will be missed by all who had a chance to share Hilda’s land with you. Keep up the good work where next you go!
