Obituary of Toni Chertoff

Toni Chertoff, 75, of Jefferson, passed away Monday, November 18, 2019 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

Born on November 21, 1943 in Bayside, Queens, the daughter of the late Bernard and Trudy Hissiger.

Toni owned and operated Toni Roberts Casting in Manhattan for several years.

She was married to Skip Chertoff until his passing in 1998, Toni and Skip started weekending in Jefferson from NY City over 45 years ago.  About 15 years ago Toni finally began her retirement and officially moved to Jefferson.

Toni was an avid gardener and took great pride in her flower and vegetable gardens.  She also enjoyed the companionship of her feline friends and could often be found playing a good game of cards with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughter: Deirdre L. Chertoff of Jefferson; close friend: Frank Bianchine, Jr. of Jefferson; Toni’s companion: Bobby Rasi of Jefferson; and several other friends.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 12-3PM on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford.  Graveside services and burial will take place at 1PM on Monday, November 25, 2019 at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Ave., West Babylon, NY 11704
