We are so sorry that the world has lost such a wonderful man. Gene was one of the last true gentlemen and will be missed by so many. I am sure he is enjoying a good cup of coffee with his dear friend Fran as I write this.

Diane and family, my condolences to all on your loss. I didn't know your dad very well, but do remember more than once having our morning coffee at Mattie's there in Stamford with you and your dad. Though he is back with your mom, both will always be in your hearts. My best to you all.

I was saddened to learn of your Dad’s passing. Although I never had the opportunity to meet Gene in person, I have a good sense of how much he was loved and cared for. This, from conversations with Dennis over the years about his Dad, from the dedicated work ethic to the careful stewardship of the family’s business records, to the courage in dealing with physical & health challenges. And, more to the point, the easily observed love of a son for his father that shines through in these conversations.
