Obituary of Daniel J. Quackenbush Sr.
Daniel Jay Quackenbush Sr., 46 passed away August 23rd 2019 in Delhi. He was born September 27, 1972. He took the ultimate ride and has finally found peace. He left us as the free spirit that he was.
Danny is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Carol Moxham and Bill Smith of Delhi. 3 children, Matthew Stevenson of Mastic, Daniel Jr. And Savannah Quackenbush of Delhi, 3 siblings David Quackenbush of Tennessee, Debbie and Randi Moxham of Delhi, the mother of his children Kelli Stevenson and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and so very many friends and loved ones. He was predeceased by his father Francis (junior) Quackenbush of Bloomville.
Danny was known as the neighborhood (master) mechanic. Since he was very young, Danny's passion was taking things apart so he could learn how to put it back together again. Apparently thats how he self taught how to fix 'anything'.
Danny often made people very angry, but also had the ability to make them love him again the very next day. Everywhere he went, he made lifelong friends.
Danny never stayed anywhere too long. He was definitely the true meaning of 'living life to the fullest'.
Friends and family are invited to call on the family, Thursday, August 29 at 11:00 with services to given by pastor Jeff Staples at noon at the First Baptist Church on thw corner of Division and Second streets in Delhi.
