Obituary of Debra Volpe
Debra Volpe, 59, of Jefferson, passed away at her home on Tuesday morning, August 20, 2019 surrounded by her family.
Born on November 3, 1959 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, the daughter of James and Margarette (Trudeau) Ploss.
Debra worked for several years as a CNA at Robinson Terrace, where she was committed to the care of her patients as well as her fellow workers and working conditions, so she became the union shop steward and was instrumental in work place negotiations.
She as a member of the Kingsont Drum and Bugle Corp., however, Debra’s greatest passion was caring for her family, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her life.
Besides her father James Ploss, Debra was also predeceased by her beloved husband, Patrick Volpe on July 5, 2018.
Debra is surivived by her mother: Margarette Ploss of Saugerties; children: Marlana Volpe of Jefferson, Crisie (Joe) Weishar of Stamford, Josh (Amy Phillips) Volpe of East Meredith and Patrick “Danny”(Tisha) Volpe II of Grand Gorge; grandchildren: Aubrey, Joseph, Patrick III and Ashton Volpe, Dylan Gallup and Aubrey Mason; siblings: Ina Noble of Kingston, Jan Miller of Port Ewen, Wayne Ploss of Saugerties, James Ploss of Virginia and Jason Ploss of Missouri; in-laws: Philip Volpe of Kinsgton, Maryanne Volpe of New Jersey and Lydia Volpe of Kingston; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 5-8 PM on Friday, August 23, 2019 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Church, Stamford.
