Obituary of Beatrice Betty Palmer
Beatrice Betty Palmer, 88, of Hobart, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2019 at O’Connor Hospital in Delhi.
Born on March 19, 1930 in Hobart, She was the daughter of the late Freeman and Ida (Collins) Temple.
Beatrice was married to Elmer L. Palmer on April 12, 1947, Elmer passed away on September 19, 1975.
Bea worked for many years at the former Griddle Inn in Stamford and later on was a self-employed daycare provider.
She will be remembered as an avid collector, especially for her extensive collections of porcelain dolls and cats, lighthouses and dishes.
Besides her parents and husband, Bea was predeceased by her siblings: Martin and Leslie.
Beatrice is survived by her children: Bill (Tricia) Palmer of Hobart and Kurt (Bobbi-Lynn) Palmer of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren: Jalyn Alexander, Brent Bryan, Zach Palmer Regina Sahner-Stiles, Rebecca Palmer, Kurt Palmer, Jr., Autumn Allen and Denny Allen; 9 great-grandchildren; one sister: Louise Kosier of Hobart; and many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 2 to 4PM on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 15 Buntline Drive, Stamford, where a funeral service will follow at 4PM. Burial at Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart will be in the spring.
