Obituary of Neil A. Rohner
Neil Alonzo Rohner, 59 of Delhi, passed away early Wednesday morning, November 14, 2018 at O’Connor Hospital following a courageous battle with appendix cancer.
Born on June 24, 1959 in Delhi, he was the son of the late Nicholas J. and Claudine F. (Hait) Rohner.
Neil was a self-employed entrepreneur, a franchise owner of several Sub-Way locations in the Capital District.
He had a passion cooking and was a gifted artist and ice skater. Neil had a “good eye” for quality antiques and collectables and loved animals. Neil’s greatest love was for his family, he enjoyed spending time with them.
Besides his parents, Neil was predeceased by his siblings: Alvin, Robert and Elsie Fuller and Joan Rohner.
He is survived by siblings: Mary Lou Oliver of Delhi, Jan (Bruce) Chappell of Navarre, FL and Doris (Gary) Miller of Kehonkson; several nieces and nephews including Abigail (Cody) Losie of Oneonta and Noah Oliver of Boston, both he was very close to; and numerous cousins.
Friends and relatives are invited to call on the family from 10-noon on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Hall & Peet Funeral Home 134 Main Street, Delhi, where a memorial will be held at 1PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Neil may be made to the Delhi Fire Dept. or to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.
