Obituary of Karen L. Stannard

Karen L. Stannard, 56, of Hobart, passed away early Thursday morning, July 5, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness.

Born on February 18, 1962 in Stamford, she was the daughter of William and Linda (Collins) Mondore.

Karen worked for several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse at the former Countryside Care Center in Delhi.

She enjoyed her spending time with family and friends, camping and loved her pets, including her K-9 companion, Faith.

Karen was predeceased by her mother: Linda Mondore; and a sister: Kim Mondore Clark.

She is survived by her father: William Mondore of Hobart; husband: Dominick Stannard of Cobleskill; step-daughter: Courtney Coffin of West Winfield; granddaughters: Haley, Hannah and Harmony; siblings: David (Evelyn) Mondore of Delhi, Anne Marie Stannard of Davenport and Tracey (Brian) Godfrey of Hudson Falls. Goddaughter: Shaina Mondore and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service and celebration of Karen’s life will be held at 1PM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, 40 Cornell Ave., Hobart. Burial will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Hobart.
