Obituary of Robert S. Vasisko

Robert S. Vasisko died peacefully at home on May 22, 2018

He was born on March 15, 1930, son of John and Helen Vasisko of Hawley, Pa. Robert was a 1947 graduate of Hawley High School and he married Helen Grant in 1954.

Robert served in the United States Army from 1947-1951.  He then proudly served in New York State Police for 37 years retiring as an Investigator.

He is predeceased by his wife Helen, his parents, and 4 sisters and 7 brothers

Robert, fondly known as Bob and Grandpa Bob to his family is survived by two daughters; Jane (Peter) Hamilton of Delhi, NY,  Barbara (Daniel) Jones of  Valentines, VA, six grandchildren, Peter James (Darcy) Hamilton of Upton, MA, Jessica Hamilton of Boston, MA, Kimberly (Zachary) Butcher, San Antonio, TX, Zachary Jones of  Nashville, TN, Alexandra and Madison Jones of, Valentines, VA,  two great granddaughters, Emmie Jane and Charley Ann Hamilton of Upton, MA  and one sister-in-law, Delores Vasisko of Endicott, NY as well as many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 7pm-9pm Friday, May 25, 2018 at MacArthur Funeral Home, 134 Main St., Delhi.

Funeral Mass will take place at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Delhi at 11am Saturday, May 26, 2018.  Burial will with full military honors will immediately follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Delhi.
