Obituary of Clem R. Hanko
Clem R. Hanko, 95, of Harpersfield, passed away at his home on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Born on October 22, 1922, Clem was the son of the late Stephen and Frances (Gavrish) Hanko.
Mr. Hanko proudly served as an Aviation Machinist in the US Navy during World War II from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1946 .
Clem was married to his wife of 67 years, Adeline (Czahor) Hanko on April 29, 1950 in Manville, NJ. The couple raised their family in Bridgewater, NJ where Clem worked as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for Ethicon, Inc. Clem and Adeline moved to Harpersfield following their retirement in 1984.
Clem was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
He is survived by daughters: Barbara Lazowski of Three Bridges, NJ and Donna Wutke and husband William of Bridgewater, NJ; grandchildren Rachel Fowlie and husband Alexander, Darlene Mallory and husband Nathan, Jamie Drummond and husband Neil and Kelly Wutke; great-grandchildren: Brayden and Chase Mallory and Derek and Aidan Fowlie; a sister: Eleanor Mansour.
Besides his parents, Clem was predeceased by his wife, Adeline on May 17, 2017; his siblings: Celia Veneski and Walter Hanko; and a son -in-law: Kenneth Lazowski.
A prayer service with full military honors was held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at the MacArthur Funeral Home, Hobart.
